I want to begin with an urgent prayer request:
We received word today from Pastor Morris that Aida's mother passed away this morning. Please pray for the peace that passes all understanding for the family as they attend the funeral tomorrow. --dee
Team Report:
Drew headed off for schools at 8AM and returned at 8PM after a
full day of sharing the gospel and talking with the various aged kids. About
120 students made professions. Pray that it will be true conversions.
The rest of the team headed out to Musese Village.
Jennifer shard with quite a few people and all were either
believers or they accepted Christ. She
also taught the kids a story about honesty at the crusade. It was a big
success
Bill who is operating on one good leg (the other was broken in a
motorcycle accident before the trip and he came anyway) got to share at three
different houses. The biggest blessing was to have two Muslims (man and woman)
accept Christ.
Reggie - 3 women professed Christ (2 were sisters and the other
already had a believing sister), Reggie
also was our preacher for the night and did an excellent job of explaining that
God looks at the heart, not what you have done in the past. He said God gave Him
peace while preaching.
Juliana visited many houses and once she started telling people
that it was a free gift of God, they all accepted. She also had a great
encounter with believers and was able to encourage them through prayer. All the
way around the world getting to pray with our brothers and sisters. It never
gets old.
David - got to share with a believing lady who needed
encouragement (translator suggested "Armor of God" verses - which is
his favorite). He also enjoyed very much the crusade. Listening to them sing,
and worship God and dance with joy in their hearts. David gave his testimony
and talked about making mistakes in his youth and regretting doing those things
and vowing to not do them again with the Holy Spirit guiding him.
Dee - last house visited, a man asked if she would come into hut
and pray for an old man who had been bedridden for some time and was very near
death. He was Catholic but was not ready
to repent, after more conversation and sharing Scripture, he gave his life to the Lord. Praise God.
Dee also gave her testimony which she never feels comfortable
speaking to large crowds, but God helped her through it and it was a blessing
to all.
Don - talking to guys in the market who turned out to be
believers (just wanted to hear the story from a Muzungu) and a Jehovah Witness
came by claiming to not ever sin and is earning his way to heaven. The man was
invited to come by the church to discuss the Bible in detail. Met with a young
woman who accepted Christ. Met with
another young woman who was a believer and prayed for health for her child.
Witnessed at the local secondary school, 1 girl who trusted in Jesus, came to
the crusade tonight.
Larry - met with a woman whose husband was the leader of a cult
but called themselves Christians. They had put themselves above everybody in
their church. I guess they haven't read about the least being the greatest.
Larry then went to prison. They brought the prisoners into the
magistrates room where they would normally be judged. They put the prisoners
where they would normally sit for judgement and asked Larry to sit in the
Magistrates seat. Larry thought about it, and then proceeded to take his chair
and sit it right in front of the prisoners. He didn't preach, he just offered
them encouragement. Then he changed seats with a prisoner and said this is what
Jesus did for us. 10 men accepted
Christ.

Thank you all for your prayers for us, and for the people we are sharing with. The Holy Spirit is truly going before us and softening the hearts of many. And we are being blessed as we share the love of Christ through prayer and encouragement for Believers ... and sharing the life saving Gospel message of Jesus Christ with those who have not heard or believed. -- dee
